When I graduate from KU in 2005 I plan on pursuing a career in line producing.
If I move away from that, though, it probably won't be towards a management position, but rather into segment producing ... I'd love to someday travel for stories, especially overseas.
I want to work in journalism because it's a fun job, and an important job, too. I love creating a newscast and working with the rest of the team. And it's a great responsibility, but also a great privilege, to choose which stories people hear, and how they hear them -- especially for a newsphile like me! One of the most exciting things about working at KUJH-TV is that we're always growing. Every day we have new ideas for how to use television and the web to make something more clear, more detailed ... a better story.
