Apartment fire kills three; suspect charged with murder

A fire that started early on the morning of Oct. 7 at Boardwalk Apartments, near 6th and Kasold, killed three residents. Jason Allen Rose, a 20-year-old Lawrence resident, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of aggravated arson in relation with the fire. Rose's preliminary hearing was Feb. 22, 2006. His trial began Feb. 6, 2007. Follow all coverage of the fire and the trial here at KUJH News.
