Graduate research assistant A.J. Herrs is charting sinkholes off of U.S. Highway 50 in Hutchinson caused by salt beds. Herrs said that the project was the first of its kind in the state of Kansas because of the technology used.

University to belong to YouTube EDU project
YouTube EDU is a project to put all college and university channels together in one place. Anyone in the world can have a YouTube channel and this initiative would make it easier for browsers to find content. There are currently more than 100 schools involved in the program. The University of Kansas launched its YouTube channel last fall with the University's new TV ad. There are now over 60 videos on the channel.
