The University of Kansas women’s softball team (35-16, 5-9) defeated Oklahoma State University (25-23, 8-8) on Sunday, 6-0.

The Jayhawks benefited from four Cowgirl errors, as they only needed four hits to score six runs on the day. Kansas first got on the board in the third inning, putting up five runs, though only two of them were earned. Valerie George, KU junior, held the Cowgirls to only five hits in seven innings while striking out five.

Kansas will play next on April 30 at Nebraska in a doubleheader against the Cornhuskers.
