Baseball loses in Wichita

The University of Kansas baseball team (25-19) fell to the Wichita State Shockers (31-7) on Tuesday night, 6-4.

John Allman, KU senior, went 2-for-4 in the game, including a solo home run and an RBI single. The home run was Allman's fourth of the season. Tony Thompson, KU freshman, accounted for the other two Jayhawk runs with a two-run homer in the seventh. Clinton McKeever, Wichita State sophomore, led the Shocker offense with three hits, two RBIs, and a stolen base.

Kansas will start a three-game weekend series on Friday in Stillwater, Okla. against the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
