Downtown streets were filled with KU fans once again this weekend after the Jayhawks dominated the North Carolina Tar Heels 84-66. Monday the Hawks will battle Memphis for the national title.

Monday's game features two teams that love to get up and down the court. Memphis outscores their opponents by an average of 16 points per game and Kansas plays with a smothering defense that limits opponents to only 57 points per game. After holding UNC to 66 points Kansas doesn't intend to alter its game plan much for Monday's game.

"I don't think we're going to change anything. We've been doing the same thing as a team to help us win and I don't think we should change our game plan just to try to win a game," forward Darnell Jackson said. "We just going to keep playing, keep playing as a team, keep playing unselfishly and great things will happen. We've been doing it for so long."

"We're going to put them down," center Cole Aldrich said. "We really try to get them out of their comfort zone and just play whole team defense."

Freshman sensation Derrick Rose goes for 21 points per game and has a terrific counterpart in Chris Douglas-Roberts who averages almost 23 points per game and grabs 5 boards when he steps onto the court. Kansas is going to counter with a balanced offensive attack and goes deep off the bench.

"Since the tournament started a lot of guys have been talking about this and Coach Self, he's been doing a great job by helping us to stay focused and telling us not to be satisfied," Jackson said. "We've been playing so hard as a team and together and not playing selfishly and now we got the opportunity to make history at Kansas."

Kansas is returning to the title game for the first time since 2003 when they fell to Syracuse. Memphis is making its first NCAA title game appearance since 1973 when they lost to UCLA. Both John Calipari and Bill Self are looking for their first NCAA title as a head coach.

The game can be seen on CBS; tip off is scheduled for 8:21 p.m.
