Kansas defeated Nebraska 76-39 in front of a record attendance of 51,910 fans at Memorial Stadium in Lawrence, Kan. This is the third time in school history that Kansas has had a 9-0 record and the first time they have gone 5-0 in conference play.

Nebraska quarterback Joe Ganz connects with Marlon Lucky down the left side of the field. Kansas' backs failed to pick up coverage on Lucky who ran the pass back 62 yards for the touchdown, only having to shed one Kansas defender.

Kansas offense was slowed a little by the Husker's defense this drive. Still Todd Reesing moved the hawks down within the 10-yard-line and Brandon McAnderson took care of the rest. McAnderson's nine-yard touchdown run was his second touchdown of the day.

The Kansas defense fell apart as Nebraska's Joe Ganz and Maurice Purify connected once for a 60-yard gain and again for the touchdown. Purify made a spectacular catch in the endzone over the head of Aqib Talib for the score.

Kansas responds to Nebraska's latest drive with a quick score of their own. Todd Reesing combines with Marcus Henry to reach the five yard-line. On the next play Reesing hits Henry again for the score and his third touchdown-pass of the day.

After much effort inside the red zone, Kansas' Brandon McAnderson powers the ball into the endzone from inside the one yard-line. McAnderson notched his third touchdown of the day.

Kansas' John Larson picks off Joe Ganz's pass to give the Jayhawks possession from the 19 yard-line. From there Todd Reesing would find Dezmon Briscoe who dove into the endzone to put Kansas up by 27.

After moving the ball 70 yards in a little over a minute Nebraska is forced to settle for a field goal as multiple attempts at the endzone are unsuccessful.

Nebraska is first to strike in the second half as Joe Ganz passes to Marlon Lucky from 14 yards out. Aqib Talib is unable to break up the coverage and Lucky makes a spectacular catch in the corner of the endzone.

It's turning out to be a record day for Todd Reesing as he finds Dezmon Briscoe breaking for the edge of the endzone from 14 yards out. Reesing's five passing touchdowns tie a Kansas school record.

Kansas' Darrell Stucky picks off Joe Ganz and if that weren't enough, Stucky returned the interception 38 yards. With great field position Todd Reesing goes to work. In only five plays he connects with Dezmon Briscoe for Briscoe's third touchdown catch of the day. Reesing's sixth touchdown pass sets a school record for touchdown passes.

Kansas again forces a turnover on Nebraska's offense. Mike Rivera knocks the ball loose for Darrell Stucky to recover. Kansas takes over from the 30 yard-line. This time Kansas would shift gears back to their run-game and put the ball in on the ground with an 11-yard Jake Sharp run.

Nebraska ends back-to-back-to-back drives with a turnover. Justin Thornton intercepts a tipped ball at midfield and returns the ball 25 yards before he is brought down by the Nebraska offense. Good things tend to happen when you've only got to move the ball 37 yards to score. Kansas moves the ball down to the six yard-line. Todd Reesing then hands the ball off to Brandon McAnderson who scores his fourth touchdown of the day.TOUCHDOWN: NEBRASKA
NU 39 - KU 76
Nebraska takes their time getting the ball down the field, probably to keep the Kansas offense off the field. Nebraska finally scores on an eight yard Maurice Purify catch. It was Purify's third touchdown of the day.
The drive begins with yet another Kansas school record falling. Marcus Hereford has tallied 203 kickoff return yards. Kansas continues to run the ball until time expires at Memorial Stadium. Kansas defeats Nebraska soundly, 39-76.
