At the end of the first quarter Kansas leads Baylor, 10-3. Kansas' lone touchdown came curteosy of Marcus Hereford, who ran back a Baylor kickoff 88-yards for the score. Kansas' Scott Webb and Baylor's Caleb Allen have each recorded field goals for their sides

Kansas' play has not been up to par with what fans have been used to so far this season. Todd Reesing, KU Quarterback has struggled to connect with his receivers.

Conditions at Memorial Staduim are less than ideal as the wind continues to blow after morning thunderstorms delayed kickoff until 1:15 p.m. Lightning briefly delayed play in the first quarter before play was resumed at 2:15 p.m.

1st Quarter

Baylor 3 - Kansas 10

On Kansas' first drive of the second half the Jayhawks moved the ball with a bit more ease. The drive is capped with a 10-yard touchdown pass to Dezmon Briscoe from Todd Reesing. The 81-yard drive took 3:54 off the clock. Further good news for fans and players alike, the sun is shining at Memorial Stadium.

Jake Sharp adds to the score with a four-yard touchdown carry with 1:30 left to play in the half. The drive took only four plays and covered 30 yards. Reesing appears to be passing the ball better as conditions continue to improve.

Kansas' Chris Harris intercepts a pass and after a 15-yard illegal blocking call and the Jayhawks will start their next drive from the 17-yard-line. On third down and eight, Reesing hands off Brandon McAnderson who skirts the Baylor defense with a 15-yard touchdown run.

The rain has stopped for now but the wind picks up inside Memorial Stadium as the first half expires. The Jayhawks lead the Bears 31-3.

2nd Quarter

Baylor 3 - Kansas 31

Kansas and Baylor traded possession four times before Kansas scored when Reesing passed to Marcus Henry. The 54-yard touchdown pass capped 6-play, 80-yard drive.

Scott Webb split the uprights from 34-yards-out with 2:04 left to play in the quarter.

But the Bears were quick to remind the Jayhawks that there still was a game going on when David Gettis plucked Webb's kickoff up at the 3-yard-line and ran it back 97-yards for Baylor's first touchdown of the game.

The third quarter ends with Kansas still on top 41-10.

3rd Quarter

Baylor 10 - Kansas 41

Scott Webb put Kansas' first points of the fourth quarter on the board with a field goal from 35-yards. Webb contributed 16 points by the end of the contest for the Jayhawks.

The fourth quarter also saw the arrival of Kerry Meier's arm, rather than his leg. Meier completed four of six passes and ran in from two yards out for a touchdown of his own.

The final touchdown of the game came from Angus Quigley as he powered in from the 22-yard-line. Quigley ran the ball eight times and picked up 47-yards for the Jayhawks.

Fall is definitely in the the air as the game comes to a close. The sun is shining but chilly and windy conditions chase many fans out of the stands before the conclusion of the game. Nonetheless Kansas keeps its undefeated title as the Jayhawks cake care of the Bears, 58-10.
