After another added day of rest due to rain, the University of Kansas baseball team returned to action with an 8-5 victory against Missouri State at Hoglund Ballpark Wednesday.

Kyle Murphy, KU senior, went 4-for-5, scoring two runs.

Andy Marks, KU starting pitcher, earned the victory for the Jayhawks. Marks pitched 5 2/3 innings, striking out five Missouri State batters.

KU returns to the field with a four-game home stand against Chicago State. Game one is set for Friday, May 11. The contest begins at 7 p.m.
