Students often find themselves overwhelmed with papers and projects at the end of the semester, not to mention finals. Many wonder how they will get everything finished.
Dawn Tato, Program Assistant for the Academic Achievement and Access Center, said the key to a successful final month is good time management.
"Really it just boils down to prioritizing, making the time and making the commitment," Tato said.
She also thinks the order in which students study should be considered.
"I think it's really important to not have similar topics one right after another, like biology and chemistry," Tato said. "Break it up with biology and then english and then chemistry. So you're not mixing up your head, memorizing things that are going to be similar in subject matter."
Tato said there are often two common mistakes students make when it comes to studying.
"One is either they're not reading their text books, or they're reading and they're trying to take in too much information," Tato said.
The Academic Achievement and Access Center hosts its final workshop of the semester on May 2, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The workshop is called "How to Study for Finals" and will be held in Strong Hall.
